	Seminar Work Title AC 43.13 - 1B

	Electrical systems, wiring and soldering, avionics; this course includes theoretical and practical lessons in:

	• Aircraft electrical systems as avionics, alternator, GPS, Radar – systems, Navigation lights • Aircraft wiring of radio systems, electrical instruments, antenna mounting and coaxial cable installation • Different soldering techniques

	We also discuss problem areas in electrical systems and find solutions.

	Wood practicing and sheet metal basics

	• Work hands-on in aircraft construction: wood, composite, fabric and sheet metal • Practice fabric covering and repair • Practice repair aircraft structure • Construction of wooden wing rib, cutting and fitting • How to layout, drill, de-burr, dimple, countersink and drive rivets • The necessary tools will be discussed and demonstrated for universal and flush rivets • How to drill out and replace a series of rivets • Aviation MIL screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc. We will also discuss the basics of wood, composite, fabric and sheet metal construction as well as problem areas in aircraft structure, inspection and repair.


	FAA Airframe & Powerplant Oral Exam Preparation

	• Instructors review the most difficult subject areas • Self-pace studying • Practice oral exams • Review topics that are not sufficiently covered in the written exam • Observe, participate & evaluate on sample projects
